Enjoy trotting through the forest in almost any region of Québec.

Firmly seated in your saddle, breathe in nature’s rich smells as you gambol in the mountains or meander through the tall grass on our plains! And feel the freedom of galloping flat out along the St. Lawrence River or on the Îles-de-la-Madeleine beaches. Horseback riding allows you to truly commune with nature and the horse.

Seasons

Horseback riding can be practised year-round. A winter ride in the forest, among snow-laden trees, is nothing short of magical!

Did you know?

You can swim with your horse at certain equestrian centres.

Cowboy for an hour, a day or longer?

  • If you’re new to horseback riding, you may want to start with a ride by the hour, for a half or full day. You’ll have time to learn the “ropes” and see if you like the sport.

  • It’s possible to go on a horseback riding excursion over several days. Lodging is offered along the way at a ranch, in tents or huts, or at cottages or inns.

  • What better than a vacation or day camp to introduce young ones to the equestrian world? Facilitators and instructors teach the children how to ride a horse as well as how to feed and take care of it. A total and enriching immersion.
