Our trails give you access to the most spectacular scenery our land has to offer.

Our territory is criss-crossed with short and long-distance trails for all levels. More than 6,000 kilometres of trails traverse our cities, parks and wildlife reserves. Dotted with lakes and rivers, our forest trails are home to a variety of wildlife. Don’t be surprised if you come across a fox or a deer. It happens often.

Our hiking trails are open all year round. In winter, you’ll need snowshoes or crampons.

The International Appalachian Trail boasts 650 km of paths spanning the Gaspésie region.

What type of hiker are you?

  • Our tallest accessible peaks range from 800 m to 1,652 m. The highest is Mont d’Iberville located in Parc national de Kuururjuaq, in Nunavik. The views from its summit are well worth the effort!

  • Our long-distance hiking trails are paradise for explorers and adventurers. Endurance and resilience are key qualities for anyone tackling one of our eight longest trails, whose distances vary from 105 to 1,075 km.
