Discovering outdoor works of art in the company of an experienced guide is the best way to fully appreciate the talent of our street artists. The murals, installations and sculptures that inhabit our cities all have a story to tell.

Self-guided tours with maps, audioguides or mobile applications allow you to crisscross the streets of certain cities and observe larger-than-life murals. The Circuit des Fresques in the city of Québec, the Circuit des murales de Sherbrooke, the Circuit des Murales des Pays-d’en-Haut and the Fresques des arts et du patrimoine en Gaspésie exhibit spectacular creations rich in history.

Urban art is everywhere. Some parks and outdoor public places are sometimes transformed into museums: the Circuits des fontaines artistiques de la MRC d’Abitibi, the Pays'art agricultural circuit, the Galerie à ciel ouvert d’Inverness, Art public Montréal, the Mouvement ESSARTS, the Espace muséal extérieur de sculptures Beauce Art and the Lachine Museum park are perfect examples.

When night falls, the walls of certain buildings and bridges light up with multicoloured lights or projected images. These scintillating architectures become unrecognizable and seem to come to life. The Jacques-Cartier Bridge, the projections of Cité Mémoire and the illuminations of the Quartier des spectacles during the Luminothérapie and Montréal en lumière events are dazzling!
