Whether you’re young in years or at heart, Québec’s youth hostels may be your answer for travelling on a budget.

Spend the night in a dorm, or a double or family room. Common spaces are also available, including the very popular travellers’ kitchen, where you can have the use of a refrigerator and cook your own meals.

Certain colleges and universities also rent out rooms in their student residences, typically between May and August.

Seasons

Youth hostels are open year-round and student residences are available for travellers between May and August, with some exceptions.
