The Eastern Townships are the cradle of viticulture in Québec. We know how to make good wine and we enjoy tasting it.

At the foot of the Appalachian Mountains, the Wine Route (Route des Vins) meanders through our beautiful vineyards. The surrounding parks and mountains offer up an abundance of hiking paths and ski trails. And the International Dark Sky Reserve is the ideal spot to gaze at the stars in total darkness and complete wonder. It's simply out of this world!

Good wine, stars and an enchanted forest. These are some of the region's charms to be discovered.

Four mountains for skiing

The Eastern Townships boast four major ski resorts! Our mountains all offer panoramic views of the beautiful landscapes from their summits. It’s a paradise for night-time skiing and glade runs. Naturally, you can practise other sports, including snowshoeing, alpine hiking, fat biking and much more!

Bromont, montagne d’expériences offers 101 ski runs lit up at night!

To top off a great day outdoors, take advantage of the après-ski to warm your toes while savouring a beer. Others will prefer the spa to relax their tired muscles after the day’s activities! Whether it’s to relax or have fun, the region has an abundance of options for prolonging the pleasure after a day on the slopes!

Zoo de Granby

Visit the zoo to admire the exotic animals in the middle of winter. You’ll be able to observe snow leopards, Amur tigers, wallabies and many more species. In the indoor pavilion, our very, very big friends, the giraffes and elephants, are waiting just for you. And be sure to save time to visit the mini-farm and aquarium!

This wildlife experience transports us from one continent to another.

Many of the Zoo’s “guests” are very active in the winter. They’re waiting for us so they can test their powers of seduction. Between the “oh’s!” and “ah’s!” of wonder, the children can also explore the winter village with its slides, maze and giant games.

Our parks are huge playgrounds!

Whether you’re an adventurer, an outdoor enthusiast or a contemplative type, you’ll always remember your experience when you dive into the richness of the wildlife and plant life of our national, regional and municipal parks. You can opt for nature that is wilder, tamer ... or closer to the stars.

The Eastern Townships have four national parks and three regional parks.

In wintertime, our parks offer many activities, such as snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, Nordic skiing, ice fishing, wildlife observation, hiking, sliding, fat biking and ski-vel for mobility-impaired individuals. It’s simply a matter of choosing!
