Thermal baths were all the rage in 19th-century Québec. The most popular hot springs were located in Saint-Léon-le-Grand (Mauricie), Varennes (Montérégie), Potton (Eastern Townships) and the Abenakis springs in Saint-François-du-Lac (Centre-du-Québec).

Awash with innumerable lakes and rivers, Québec is the obvious choice for invigorating water-based treatments—particularly Scandinavian-style Nordic baths that alternate hot and cold sensations. Some outdoor spas even feature views of waterfalls or herds of deer: an out-of-this world experience!
