By plane
Québec has three major international airports:
Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau in Montréal
Jean-Lesage in Québec City
Mont-Tremblant (Laurentians)
Montréal-Trudeau Airport is connected by the 747 shuttle in downtown Montréal. A shuttle also goes to the Via Rail train station in Dorval. There are also regional shuttles to Trois-Rivières, Drummondville, Sainte-Foy and Québec City; Ottawa and Gatineau (transfer via Ottawa); several cities in the Montérégie and Eastern Townships using Aéronavette; and Mont‑Tremblant.
Jean-Lesage Airport in Québec City is connected to downtown Québec City by the Parcours 80 shuttle.
If your destination is in the Outaouais, you can arrive at the Ottawa International Airport in Ontario and take a bus from OC Transpo to Gatineau.

By boat
If you plan to arrive by boat in Québec, you will not be the first: until the 20th century, explorers, settlers and newcomers crossed the Atlantic Ocean in this way. Fortunately, it's much shorter and safer than before!
During sailing season, some 2,000 pleasure craft of every kind use the St. Lawrence Seaway. These vessels must measure at least 6 m (20 ft.) in length and weigh more than 900 kg (1,984 lbs.). Docks and berthing areas are reserved for their use.
International cruises
Québec, Montréal and Saguenay are favourite stopovers for the major cruise lines that sail the St. Lawrence from May through November. Nine ports of call in Québec welcome passengers who set off from Southampton or Dover to discover the mighty river.
