One site, two roles, four seasons. Outfitters offer fun activities for everyone.

Québec’s outfitters are private establishments that offer services to hunting and fishing enthusiasts. They also provide accommodations for vacationers, including many families, who enjoy the forests, lakes and rivers for canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, snowshoeing... Nature at its most pristine!

Open year-round, outfitters offer fishing and other outdoor activities in summer, hunting in fall, and snowy fun and ice fishing in winter.

Learn more about outfitters

  • The original outfitter clientele, hunters and anglers, have been staying in comfortable pavilions for more than 100 years. Today, vacationers also enjoy this warm hospitality as well as delicious cuisine.

  • With more than 550 certified outfitters in Québec, there’s no shortage of hunting and fishing spots! Outfitters must be licensed and their goal is to help you make the most of your stay.

  • Outfitters are equipped for the four seasons: nature observation and interpretation excursions, kayaking, canoeing, biking, hiking, swimming, indoor games, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, dogsledding and more.

  • Many outfitters charm their guests with gastronomic delights. Chefs try to outdo one another with creative dishes using game, forest plants and local products.

  • The Fédération des pourvoiries du Québec promotes its outfitter members’ services through some 700 all-inclusive packages (fishing, hunting, activities, etc.) in 14 regions. It’s different from a hotel by the sea, but just as inviting!
