To be discovered absolutely
A stunning 21-island archipelago, creative artisans, tasty local products, not to mention the Appalachians providing a gigantic playground.
Parc régional du Massif du Sud
You’ll marvel at the park’s many peaks, its deep valleys, crystal clear rivers, forests and exceptional biodiversity. Every winter, the Massif du Sud gets blanketed in huge amounts of snow—an average of 6 m every year. That’s pretty impressive! Think of how many snowmen could you make with that.
The regional park is a popular destination for skishoeing (Hok skiing).
A hybrid between snowshoeing and skiing, it’s a great way to cover the terrain! Le Massif boasts 5 km of marked skishoeing trails. Outdoor enthusiasts will be in their element with a 22-km network of cross-country ski trails, 40 km of snowshoeing trails and a 16-km fatbike circuit.
Parc régional des Appalaches
This park is exciting, lively and exhilarating! It boasts three activity areas illustrating the complex biodiversity of the Appalachians, three peaks with views and you can bring your dog. The park receives an incredible amount of snow, transforming the coniferous trees on the Grande Coulée mountain into snow ghosts. It’s incredible!
The park is perfect for canicross: running and hiking with your dog.
Adventurers can enjoy two- or three-day expeditions thanks to the park’s network of winter shelters. Given the region’s significant snowfall, conditions remain excellent until April. We just couldn’t keep this park, in all its abundance, to ourselves! Welcome!
Domaine du Radar
It’s one of the highest peaks in the area. At the top, admire the stunning, panoramic view! What do snowshoeing trails, backcountry skiing for powder enthusiasts, tube sliding and delicious chocolates all have in common—aside from being available at the Domaine? They’re our little winter joys. We can never get enough!
Now an outdoor centre, Domaine du Radar is a former military base.
Enjoy four thrilling Austrian luge descents, including two 2.3-km runs, and a ride back up. Make the most of your visit by staying in a cottage, tiny house or Coolbox. A great get-away with family or friends!
